Kouzu – New Japanese Yakitori Bar and Restaurant in Bangsar Baru

[Dining] Update (March 2019) – Kouzu in Bangsar Baru is CLOSED for good. However, at time of update, the outlet in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail remains operational.     We recently visited the newest addition to the food and beverage scene in the upmarket and swanky neighbourhood of Bangsar Baru. [Review]   My old neighbourhood of Taman Tun Dr. Ismail in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur continues to surprise me with more and more hidden gems. I did a review of Meat Point TTDI some months back and noticed that there was a wine shop next door. Unfortunately Meat Point TTDI was going for their Halal certification and thus patrons are not allowed to bring in their own red wine which would have gone oh so good with the steaks. [Review]   MHB’s Kelly Siew, Andy Kho and I together with a couple of friends headed over to La Bodega in Jalan Telawi 2 one fine Saturday night to try out their Josper @ Work dinner as well to watch the Asia Beat by Lewis Pragasam band in action in the lounge upstairs. [Review] Continuing my series on food and beverage establishments in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail is Meat Point – a steakhouse tucked away in a more unassuming part of TTDI between the Standard Chartered bank and Frisky Goat. Meat Point has been around for over four (4) years, and is known among residents of TTDI and surrounding areas as the go to place to enjoy good steak/ lamb.
